2004-09-30 [Keii]: I only know a couple of words... :`(
2004-09-30 [our two faces]: yep exactly shadow. well i only know one language :( *feels left out*
2004-09-30 [our two faces]: i should submit a poem ill go write one real quick
2004-10-01 [pegasus1000]: thanks for the comment.. I appreteate it..
2004-10-01 [Kaimee]: actually, Im putting the next issue together this time :) we had a major delay because our webmaster... had some troubles. Lol, we're always having webmaster troubles it seems XP when we have the next issue out it'll be announced at The Town Herald, a wiki I advise anyone interested in the herald to watch :) all new announcements are made there and new sections go up all the time :)
2004-10-03 [dycz]: hehehe.. tnx. pls say something bout my poem.
2004-10-03 [Kaimee]: Im not quite sure how it follows the theme, if you could add a note explaining the theme, and how it relates to the theme(passing of time/changing of seasons) that everyone is meant to be following, then Im sure that will be fine :) Also, how can someone who writes poetry so well write with such atrocious spelling and grammer in the comments?
2004-10-03 [Elmiira]: thanks eiko! it was nice to hear that!
2004-10-04 [Shamera]: well its true! ^^
2004-10-04 [our two faces]: YAY for webmaster troubles, wait i mean *Boo Hiss*
2004-10-04 [Sheona]: Atleast the next issue if on its way ^_^
2004-10-04 [Kaimee]: well, ppl will want it even more after the long wait at least ;)
2004-10-09 [Elmiira]: yeah...I want to read it! lol
2004-10-09 [Shamera]: me too!
2004-10-10 [dycz]: where to see the theme?
2004-10-10 [Elmiira]: it's under the headline Updates.
2004-10-11 [our two faces]: "passing of time/changing of seasons" is the theme, exactly where [Elmiira] said it was :)
2004-10-11 [our two faces]: so the deadline for the Poetry Corner Contest will be released at the same time as the new issue? (shameless plug I know)
2004-10-13 [Kaimee]: no, for detail on the deadline you can read the comment i posted on that page, the contest was intended to run throughtout several issues of the herald, it will be ending when we feel it has run for long enough, as the issues havent been regular enough to use as a time setter
2004-10-13 [Agent Jodi]: Hmmm hope I'll get number two in there =D Just a little spaz on how dizzy I've been about senior finals the last month or so. n_n
2004-10-14 [Kaimee]: gah, im trying to decide whether the exams theme really fits into our 'passing of time/changing of seasons' but i guess the time flying sort of element could work, could you please append a note to the bottom, emphasising or explaining the 'time' part of the theme?
2004-10-16 [Sheona]: The passing of time can be interpreted in so many different ways, the changing of seasons being just one. It's a tough call ;)
2004-10-17 [Kaimee]: thanks, that helps:P
2004-10-28 [blackenedrose*]: thanks for changing the number from 7 to 20! ^^ need comment on my poem plez?..dont know if its meant to b here or not
2004-10-28 [Shamera]: I think its good... it does symbolize some kind of passing of time.. hmm.. but i'm not too sure...
2004-10-30 [Kaimee]: Its perfect for this theme [blackenedrose*], thanks for the contribution! :D
2004-10-30 [blackenedrose*]: thankee!
2004-10-31 [Linderel]: I'm not entirely sure about "Illusion of belonging"... Does it follow the theme?
2004-11-01 [Kaimee]: As always, poetry can be interpreted in about a zillion ways, and so we can stretch that interpretation until it follows the theme, but if youre unsure or realise you are just stretching that interpretation
2004-11-03 [Johnnydontgo]: Erm... has the November theme started yet? All I see is "September"... or am I just a bit slow?
2004-11-03 [shadow_of_life]: still we're at the september theme, I'm afraid.
2004-11-04 [Kaimee]: themes arent necessarily monthly, it depends how long it takes us to put each issue together :)
2004-11-04 [Kaimee]: the page has been sorted, all poems that were submitted have not just mysteriously disappeared, this is our way of keeping the page manageable :)
2004-11-04 [shadow_of_life]: so I guess we have to expect another theme or till the Herald issue it remains the same?
2004-11-04 [Kaimee]: oh no, its still the same theme, we just like to keep it tidy around here :)
2004-11-04 [shadow_of_life]: ok, I'll make sure it won't stay tidy for long :}}
2004-11-04 [Kaimee]: ha! brilliant ;)
2004-11-11 [Aidan Ryuko]: uhm maybe a stupid question but is this the page you are supposed to add your poem to? *edit it and put it on the bottom of the page?*
2004-11-11 [Aidan Ryuko]: well i'll submit it because my little sis is going to capture the computer, ill change it back if i didn't put it on the right spot offcourse
2004-11-11 [shadow_of_life]: It's really cool in my opinion - and it's RIGHT HERE where you had to put it, well done :}}}}
2004-11-11 [Elmiira]: so good.. :) much better than mine for example..
2004-11-11 [Aidan Ryuko]: yay I'm so proud I put it on the right place:) and you made a poem elmiira? or you mean the one you won the contest with^^ that one of yours is tons better and if you disagree i'm afraid ill have to use one of my hugattacks;)
2004-11-11 [Aidan Ryuko]: question (as always last couple of days), in the faq-poetry corner guidelines it says that you get a badge if you submit 2 or more poems that are accepted, but above it there is said that if you write a poem that is accepted for 2 or more months (wich means you can make 1 poem that just has to do with the next 2 months) you get the very same badge, wich one is it? or is it both? what if you submit 3 poems that all go for 2 months.. then you would have worth 6 poems.. that would be strange if that was possible wouldn't it?
2004-11-11 [shadow_of_life]: You really have to ask [Kaimee] for this - I didn't even know there's any badges - it's just that I like this wiki :}}}
2004-11-11 [Kaimee]: they arent crew badges: these are badges to go in your bio. and yes, each time you submit a poem that gets accepted its like a point, whether its several in the same month or spread out over the months, after a certain number (and a lil delay for us to sort it out) anyone with the right number of points will be awarded a badge to go in their bio, if you get MORE points and get up to a certain number ou will be awarded an upgrade of that badge, and so on.
2004-11-12 [Aidan Ryuko]: ah thanks kaimee:) I really wondered how it was^^ *gives both of you vanilla ice cream*
2004-11-12 [Kaimee]: thats ok, im here to answer questions :)
2004-11-12 [shadow_of_life]: ICE CREEEAM!!!!I should write a song text about iiit!!!
2004-11-12 [Elmiira]: I don't really care about any badges, I just like to write my poems here, because I like writing of some theme... :) and yes aidan, I have written actually two ppoem with this months theme
2004-11-12 [Aidan Ryuko]: yes you should shadow!! I'll be your fan if you do!! me likes writing poems as well elmiira:) I just don't publish them most of the time, you also have the halloween thingy now o.O didn't even see that yet:) congrats elmiira
2004-11-12 [Elmiira]: thanks.. :) it was just a poem but maybe they liked it then.. :)
2004-11-12 [Aidan Ryuko]: mmhmm^^ and a good one
2004-11-12 [shadow_of_life]: Yeah, you know, [Elmiira] is my favourite poet :}}}
2004-11-12 [shadow_of_life]: hey, this was for anyone who likes Andersen's tales - they're my favourite :}}}
2004-11-12 [Elmiira]: I love them!! :)
2004-11-12 [Aidan Ryuko]: got to admit I only know amateur poets *blushes* but i bet they are nice:):)
2004-11-12 [Aidan Ryuko]: waw.. shadow of life.. *checks if his own wings are still there* but seriously beautiful poem
2004-11-13 [Kaimee]: Hey all, I was just wondering if any poets here are willing to help us heralders write clues or phrases for our upcoming treasurehunt contest, if anyone wants to help they cant participate with the contest but we really need ppl. contact me if youd like to ok? :)
2004-11-13 [Kaimee]: and sorry to [Noxme] but a poem on the subject of 'the runners' is not suitably related to the theme 'passing of time/changing of seasons' >:( we do not accept random poetry, except if by some luck it fits our theme, all poetry submitted must follow the theme. grr.
2004-11-13 [pegasus1000]: NOTE: just to razz you all.. I was featured in The Town Herald more then once, so where is my badge?? I am just kidding, I don't really care, Like I said it is just to razz you all.. 8~)
2004-11-13 [Kaimee]: "and a lil delay for us to sort it out" 4 times i believe? once i sorted out who needed badges i figured id wait till the end of the month to see if you made it up to 5, in which case id need to give you a different badge anyway ;)
2004-11-13 [Kaimee]: so you werent forgotten ;)
2004-11-13 [shadow_of_life]: [Kaimee], I'd like to help you with the contest, just message me the basic things I'm supposed to work at.
2004-11-13 [Aidan Ryuko]: I'd like to help as well if I can:) kaimee
2004-11-13 [Aidan Ryuko]: pegasus if you want badges it helps to ask in the fame most of the time:), sometimes they are late with the updates no biggie:)
2004-11-13 [shadow_of_life]: [Kaimee], I know it's really early (or maybe not, you tell me) to ask, but have you started the new issue of the Herald?Because
2004-11-14 [Kaimee]: slows us down? nothing really slows us down, were going about as fast as ppl can go. we have started work on the next issue (the passing of time/changing of seasons theme) but there are heaps of things we need for each issue. several writers do their articles, reviews etc which they need to research. artists need time to draw, the poetry and art corners need time to collect work, as to the feature sections. Puzzles, jokes and games need to be created or found and then the webmasters need to create allllll those pages, which took me about 30 hours last time, starting from scratch :/ we also have to keep track of ppl, deal with 'hiring' new ppl, discuss what ppl are doing,
2004-11-14 [Kaimee]: ...discuss what were doing next, etcetc. that takes alot of time, we've got a huge team working on it for ages, and it gets out as fast as it can. we can only go as fast as our slowest person you know ;) everyone helps each other and tries to go as fast as we can, but faster is simply not possible right now :) and remember: if anyone wants to volunteer to help out for the herald, apply at herald hopefuls :)
2004-11-14 [Aidan Ryuko]: mmm so if we want to help out outside of taking the risk of not getting applied.. we could write you a review or an article?? or maybe even draw or something?
2004-11-14 [Kaimee]: guest submissions are always considered, yes. if they are suitable they will be included. sometimes 'guest' heralders turn into real heraders. :)
2004-11-14 [Aidan Ryuko]: I see.. then maybe that's a better way for me personally and some other people that just wanna help out:)
2004-11-14 [Kaimee]: you can always try.
2004-11-14 [pegasus1000]: I was not sure of what the forum was called. I don't think it is said on this page.
2004-11-16 [Kaimee]: I think we should all welcome our new Poetry Corner organiser [Shamera] :) i know there are others also, so if you continue to make yourselves useful you might find yourselves with a job :P
2004-11-16 [Aidan Ryuko]: congratulation
2004-11-16 [lastartian]: congrats!
2004-11-16 [Elmiira]: heh, great!
2004-11-17 [Shamera]: Wow... thanks! ^_^
2004-11-17 [lastartian]: your very welcome
2004-11-17 [our two faces]: Congrats Eiko :)
2004-11-18 [Shamera]: thankies
2004-11-18 [lastartian]: how is everyone?
2004-11-18 [Elmiira]: fine fine.. :) eating cream cake
2004-11-18 [Aidan Ryuko]: I want cream cake as well!!:( but I got ice cream^^ mmmm
2004-11-19 [Shamera]: lol ice cream ish yummy.. O.o but then.. all i have to do is stick tang in some snow.. lol
2004-11-19 [Doormat]: yes....but then you get lockjaw ^-^
2004-11-19 [Young J.C.]: Lock jaw from what?
2004-11-19 [lastartian]: freezinf their tongues! lol
2004-11-19 [Aidan Ryuko]: o.O mmm what about ice cream cake^^ and eiko.. who knows who peed int he snow >.< so PLEASE don't eat yellow colored snow *shivers*
2004-11-19 [lastartian]: *shivers* that would be so nasty!
2004-11-19 [Elmiira]: hey, there's a great poem on daily poem today! go to read it! *nodnod*
2004-11-19 [Doormat]: err...its yours...cough egotistical bastards (shameless advertizing)
2004-11-19 [Elmiira]: yeah, I know.. :D why would I have said it otherwise??
2004-11-19 [Shamera]: lmao no i don't eat colored snow [Aidan Ryuko]!! lol i fill a cup with CLEAN snw and then add tang! ^^
2004-11-19 [blackenedrose*]: eko..have u tried it with soya sauce??....its great!...mmm..
2004-11-19 [Kaimee]: O.O soy sauce on snow? >.<;;; eat it with cordial, thattttts nice.
2004-11-20 [Shamera]: lmao... hmm.. soy sauce.. that actually sounds good.
2004-11-20 [Young J.C.]: Soy sauce is nasty!
2004-11-20 [Kaimee]: i agree! worcestershire sauce is nyummy tho.
2004-11-20 [Young J.C.]: Never had that.
2004-11-20 [Doormat]: franks red hot sauce on sushi......HP sauce in soup...tis all good ^-^
2004-11-20 [Elmiira]: yay, it's winter again! I LOVE snow! :)
2004-11-20 [Aidan Ryuko]: o.O what is thang?!! ice cream flavor? ice cream flavor? must.. find.. new.. flavors..!! *wonders how blackberry ice cream would taste* don't you have winter for longer time now elmiira?^^ i thought finland was one of those wintery spots:P here it always rains.. yesterday first time snow^^
2004-11-20 [Elmiira]: of course here is winter longer time, but the snow came in these days.. before that it doesn't feel really like winter. :)
2004-11-20 [Aidan Ryuko]: is it winter yet? Isn't winter like.. only 21 december? isn't it autumn from 21 september till december or januari? so then we all kinda have a snowy autumn^^ (which an ice cream lover surely likes!)
2004-11-20 [Elmiira]: no, it isn't. winter comes when snow comes. and snow came guite late this year... but you can't call january autumn, because it's the coldest month of the year.. when it's half meter snow and under -20 celcius's cold. it really doesn't sound like autumn, does it? :)
2004-11-20 [Aidan Ryuko]: early here.. already snow now o.O the day we get half a meter snow is the day a new ice age comes;) we are like england.. and it might not sound like autumn but it is:P
2004-11-20 [Elmiira]: yeah, well.. you can understand that it's funny to hear when somebody tells that they don't have to go to school because there's 20 centimeters snow.. it's almost always at least that..
2004-11-20 [shadow_of_life]: that's cool - you stay at home, you're warm and you have no school :}}}}You know, at this freezing cold our schools don't have central heating, cause they're being repaired ... however, we continue going to school :{{{
2004-11-20 [Elmiira]: oh, that's not so nice...o.O
2004-11-20 [Aidan Ryuko]: well you have an extra excuse to hug people around you then ^^
2004-11-21 [Kaimee]: well, it doesnt snow here. ever. unless you go waaaaaaay away to the mountains. and half the time it doesnt snow there either. *sigh*
2004-11-21 [Doormat]: friggin global warming...does
2004-11-21 [shadow_of_life]: I WANT SOME GLOBAL WARMING OUT HERE!!!PLEASE!
2004-11-21 [Elmiira]: I don't know.. but it would be guite impossible to go to school where was no warming in middle winter...
2004-11-22 [Shamera]: heh.. yea.. Alaska used to have really pretty white snow by October, now its almost thanksgiving, and there is 3" of it in my yard.. so sad..
2004-11-22 [Kaimee]: gloabal warming? nah, im just in the southern hemisphere :D australia! lol
2004-11-22 [lastartian]: god, i think that if nasa puts their minds to it they could control global warming, and if they are making such a fuss over it why haven't they done something about it?
2004-11-22 [Doormat]: money. One simple word....money.
2004-11-22 [Aidan Ryuko]: not money.. they are just not stupid.. if u control the heat on this planet u get more "natural" side effects (aka hurricanes, tsunami or even earthquake kind of stuff)
2004-11-23 [lastartian]: very good point.....i didn't think of that.Still i think they know more about it than they are letting out!
2004-11-23 [shadow_of_life]: sure they do - or maybe they do even more making us believe thety're part of some conspiracy and keeping a big part of the world paranoid or just confused ...
2004-11-24 [Shamera]: lol now that seems logical, they plan to keep us confused while they build a big huge ...thing.. that controls the weather all over the world until they destroy us all....you really think they could? or WOULD?
2004-11-24 [shadow_of_life]: I have really stopped being impressed from anything happening so ... why not - or maybe they've altready done it and they're manipulating our minds in this direction?Who knows?
2004-11-24 [Kaimee]: hey! hey guys! poetry! de-polticise yourself and write some more poetry for this issue! lol
2004-11-24 [Doormat]: change the theme! -_-
2004-11-24 [shadow_of_life]: ok, ok, it just got carried away, that's all, my humble apologies, [Kaimee]
2004-11-25 [Kaimee]: lol, accepted, and we cant change the theme doofus! :P that theme is herald wide, it lasts until the rest of the herald workers are ready, whereupon we go onto the next theme (cyberpunk, ha! lesse you poets come up with something for that:P is scifi/cyberpun
2004-11-25 [Doormat]: doofus! ahhhhhh my dignity is gone, you egotistical bastards
2004-11-26 [Kaimee]: im plural now am i? cmon, you could have fit that in better! some poet you are:P you could have said something like 'youre all egotistical bastards' or 'ugh you egotistical bastards are the bane of my existence' or something lol
2004-11-26 [Sunrose]: shameless advertisement!
2004-11-26 [Kaimee]: hey, im just trying to help a friend out with their grammar, it has nothing to do with the fact that im the 3rd member at egotistical bastards and my friend owns it... ^^; really!
2004-11-26 [Sunrose]: noo..of course not! *^^*
2004-11-26 [Kaimee]: glad you understand:P
2004-11-26 [Doormat]: 'tis the only thing that would fit in...:P
2004-11-27 [Kaimee]: *rollseyes*
2004-11-27 [Aidan Ryuko]: *hugattacks everyone* don't roll eyes if there is ice cream near^^ focus on the joyment eh^^ and if the ego bastards wiki needs more members.. I'M THE BEST ICE CREAM MASTER OF THEM ALLLLL MUHAHAHAAAAAAA
2004-11-27 [Doormat]: god, kaimee, first arts and now spelling, your egotisticness makes you part of the egotistical bastards in the world, and these egotistical bastards run the place....like where would we be without egotistical bastards in the world?
2004-11-27 [Aidan Ryuko]: lol are you gonna try to get a record of typing the same wiki in 1 sentence or what eh
2004-11-28 [Kaimee]: hey Diablo, it was funny before but dont overdo it ok...?
2004-11-28 [Doormat]: whop ;D
2004-11-29 [Kaimee]: hey, i borrowed it in the first place from diablo, not my joke:P but what is my job is trying to keep an official herald wiki on track ;) its not so strict as the crew wikis but we like to keep things vaguely poetry related and cut down on the random chatter;) if only not to miss actual questions when they come.. :)
2004-11-29 [Sunrose]: oh lol! then you are such a convincing Tea-Leaf! Hmm poetry...shoul
2004-11-29 [Kaimee]: tea leaf? that takes me back... you arent referring to the teabag series are you? :P
2004-11-29 [Sunrose]: Uhm no, te Tea-Leaf is explained on my house :p
2004-11-29 [Kaimee]: XD it reminds me of this show i used to watch when i was about 6 lol! and i seeeee! youre calling me a tealeaf then are ye? :P im terribly afraid im going to have to adopt this expression. 'tealeaf'. i like it.... :P
2004-11-29 [Sunrose]: :O
2004-11-29 [Kaimee]: ;)
2004-11-29 [Aidan Ryuko]: maybe diablo should've made his sentence rhyme as well?:)
2004-11-29 [Doormat]: Hey i don't say words, like egotistical bastards....happy?
2004-11-30 [lastartian]: i guess i'm the only one on here right now.....
2004-12-01 [Kaimee]: Diablo, seriously, stop with the spamming already or they'll start being deleted -.-
2004-12-01 [lastartian]: wow, Diablo i don't think she is kidding.....
2004-12-01 [Aidan Ryuko]: how did the tests go kaimee:)
2004-12-01 [Doormat]: hey... aidan said to make it rhyme...so I did ><
2004-12-01 [Aidan Ryuko]: o.O where is the rhyme in it??
2004-12-01 [Doormat]: words....b@st@
2004-12-01 [Aidan Ryuko]: do i talk a funny english accent or.. *looks for any rhyme in those 2 words*
2004-12-02 [Doormat]: rds...and rds....please dont tell me you're french -_-
2004-12-02 [Kaimee]: 'rds' isnt the rhyme! it needs a vowel in there! if you pronounced words 'wards' it might work... but it doesmt;) and yes, im serious and exams... we no speak of them.
2004-12-02 [Aidan Ryuko]: kaimee I don't think he's being serious?:) tell me how you make rds rhyme diablo^^ i think ONLY french could do that kind of strange pronouncation^
2004-12-02 [Kaimee]: well my famillys french, italian and irish, (now mostly australian!) and the french bit stuck with us... you cant rhyme sounds that we drop off the end of words! thats like saying your breathing rhymes XD
2004-12-02 [lastartian]: really i'd love to know also!:)
2004-12-02 [Aidan Ryuko]: maybe he pronounces it like.. basturds.. and words.. and he pronounces basturds like 2 words so it rhymes in some twisted way^^
2004-12-02 [Kaimee]: XD yes, but i could pronounce dogs or hats in some weird way untyil they rhymed, it still doesnt mean theat they atcually rhyme, especially when written! lol!
2004-12-02 [Aidan Ryuko]: ^^ well.. it could mean he put the effort in it to make it rhyme if he wrote it with his weird accent in his mind:)
2004-12-02 [lastartian]: that seems to happen with alot of words.....
2004-12-02 [Kaimee]: methinks i hear a challenge... why dont you try writing 'accented' poetry? try and put the accent into the words? and not just arrr m'earties! type accents, and cockney stuff, because everyone knows them:P
2004-12-02 [lastartian]: lol, you do have a point to that!
2004-12-02 [Kaimee]: try it :P
2004-12-02 [lastartian]: i'll try it and get back to ya on that lol,
2004-12-02 [Aidan Ryuko]: isnt accent kinda only layed away to brittish and texas people?:) if you where to talk about dutch and dutch accent..^^ good luck lastartian!
2004-12-02 [Doormat]: i guess its a canadian thing then -_-...i pronouce it bas-turds not bas-tords or bas-tads
2004-12-02 [Aidan Ryuko]: haha omg and i thought southpark was only making fun of canada
2004-12-02 [Kaimee]: ha, and in australia we say is "bar-sted' sort of :/
2004-12-02 [Aidan Ryuko]: my stepmom is australian:) maybe she can help^^
2004-12-03 [Doormat]: my dad's bristish...and that's how he says it :D
2004-12-03 [Kaimee]: yeah, well our accent is derived from cockney english you know.... poor us:P
2004-12-03 [Doormat]: british english is crazy...we went there once and every part has their own accent
2004-12-03 [Kaimee]: so does australian, you go to qld.. whoa, soooo different from here, its crazy.
2004-12-03 [lastartian]: you think thats crazy try the french....beau
2004-12-03 [Shamera]: my dad was irish and my grandparents are on his side, (and so on)
2004-12-04 [Kaimee]: So again guys, are there anymore poets who'd like to volunteer themselves as ClueWriters for The Town Herald#39;s next contest, a treasure hunt? note, helpers are not allowed to participate in contest, and anyone found cheating will be publicly humiliated :)
2004-12-06 [agirlnamedluna]: How can I submit poems ? I'm totally lost here ...
2004-12-06 [lastartian]: sure, let me take a look, kaimee!
2004-12-06 [Kaimee]: ill message you :) and luna, you need to edit the page and add your poetry. if you dont know how to do that, read the wiki help pages :)
2004-12-07 [Doormat]: what cluewriting? ill do it because it involves poetry ^-^
2004-12-07 [Sunrose]: Writing clues for a treasure hunt.. :)
